About Me

I'm Divyan, a full-stack developer (and medical doctor) based in London. With 6+ years of experience as a developer and 5+ years as a medical doctor, I bring a unique dual perspective to healthcare technology.

I hold an MBChB from the University of Cape Town (2019). Currently, I am completing an MSc in Computer Science (speciality in AI). My completed coursework includes Algorithms & Data Structures, Computer and Mobile Networks, Computer Architecture and OS, Advanced Programming with Python, Applied AI, AI and Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Research Methods, and Big Data Analytics.

My passion lies in crafting user-centric design and delivering efficient solutions that deliver tangible clinical impact. I am dedicated to developing high-quality tools that improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare worker burnout, and foster a more equitable healthcare landscape.

A cross-platform app aiming to democratize HIV knowledge, making it readily available, understandable, and approachable for everyone, regardless of their background, language, or comfort level with traditional health services. This proactive approach to education is vital for prevention, early detection, and ultimately, reducing the impact of HIV on public health.

Online Emergency Transport Booking Platform

A web-based platform facilitating emergency transport coordination between doctors and local EMS stations. It supports the submission of comprehensive patient data, including vital signs, diagnosis, transport category, and specific needs, to optimize vehicle allocation and dispatch timing. The system also incorporates automated progress tracking and notification features.

Sugar-AI

AI-based glucose tracking record

A Flutter application that enables users to capture a photo of a Glucometer reading with their mobile device and utilizes Google's Vision API to extract the reading as text for recording. Originally designed to serve as a digital log for patients to track their daily glucose levels.

GSH BE Referral App

An online referral app designed for the Groote Schuur Hospital Breast and Endocine Surgery Clinic

Enables doctors from remote clinics and hospitals to schedule patients for specialized breast scans (for suspected cancer) and request surgical opinions from expert breast surgeons. Built as a cross-platform mobile application (Android and iOS) using Google Flutter and Firebase, and published on the Google Play Store.

This cross-platform mobile application is designed to assist doctors in efficiently managing patient care within hospital settings. It enables real-time tracking of patient locations across wards, diagnostic areas, and operating rooms, providing quick access to critical information. In addition, the app allows doctors to create and manage personalized to-do lists for each admitted patient, supporting task organization and improving communication.
